Helga was born near Bonn. She is an autodidact and works since 1987 painting on silk. She has produced various individual and collective expositions.

In Helga’s words:

“I prefer silk as a base for painting because it’s soft and fine structure leaves the colours and shapes more lively. Many times I borrow my themes from nature, but, they also reflect my emotions which motivate me to create the shapes and compose the colours.”
